    Question Intricacies of shipping internationally

    Hi all

I have a business which is finalising the production setup of a brand new electronics product to be manufactured locally. The vast majority (> 90%) of our client base will be international end users, so we are using FedEx to courier units directly to the customers.
The question I have is this: where can I find a consultant well versed in international shipping to provide some insight into the potential pitfalls I need to look out for, and the practicalities of sending electronic equipment worldwide?

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

If you using FedEx, contact them and setup a meeting with a consultant to discuss...

I was thinking more broadly, as advice from a consultant working for a courier would likely be along the courier lines. If there are more efficient ways of getting the goods where they need to be, someone else might be in a better position to provide more impartial consulting.
But yes, Fedex is a good place to start.

Would you be shipping to a specific region?

Oh, I thought I replied but can't see it here. Approach scottshipping.co.za/export/, they have been responsive to my enquiries in the past.

Shipping is global, with the major markets being the US (over 50%), EU around 30%.
