    Hi

I was surprised on the comment over the Uni-T
I was a fluke man and always bought the fluke with clamp tester for both Ac and DC - They were perfect and then suddenly started having problems and every time was a 2K repair bill.

Tried the Uni T and have not had problems - Once or twice when there was a problem it was returned and repaired at no cost.I have about 8 of them
I was led to believe that Uni T will repair at no cost as long as the meter was not abused - My guys are good at abusing everything.

  2. Thanks given for this post:

I was also surprised about the Uni-T comments. I've recently got half a dozen Uni-T UT210E clamp meters which I picked up on offer in the UK and I like them a lot. It's a DC and AC current true RMS clamp and has a 2Amp range which has 1mA resolution so I find myself using it as an earth leakage clamp as well as an all-round tester. It's pretty damn accurate, it's small and easy to carry, it's solid and I just like it. Best of all it cost the equivalent of about R550.00. If I really had to find fault with it I'd say the leads it comes with are a bit hard and inflexible for my liking but overall I'm very impressed and would recommend them if you're budget won't allow a Fluke or Megger.

    Hello Bro's.

I need to know the resistance of the element connected in parallel R49. Possibly a photo with better quality of these elements with color marking.

Thanks in advance for every answer.

Probably the same value as R52.
Chances are the Opto Coupler may be faulty too.

The last picture is too poor in quality to make anything out.

And funny, but in the global search engine only this forum have someone commented on the inside of the multimeter. So I hope that the users from the beginning of the thread will have their say.

I'll crack it open and take some photos when I'm in the workshop this coming week.
