Depends on the licensing, to how youuse it. I dont think there is a best anti virus imo. I think many fall short and some are good in certain criteria. Some software offers good virus protection , better than others , cost a arm and a leg and run your computer down with a heave cpu usage. SOme are very simple, no bells and whisles like kaserpy and they get the job done. I think its a matter of preference really. As woth most online tools today i always think a comnination is thebest think to try and do as one will eliminate others weaknesses however inyour situation i cant really see this happening.

There is a free kaserspy out which imo beats my paid avast, you might want to check that out, just to be double sure there is a website called virustotal which can cross check uploaded files or urls with quite a few antiviruses. You get a result page like this :

    Have a look at https://www.trendmicro.com/en_no/for...ree-tools.html
They also have a home version that you can buy online and it covers 3 computers. I have had it on all my families PC's for years now and not one of them has had an issue.

I prefer to get a full internet security package rather than just an antivirus. I use Kaspersky.

Kaspersky Internet Security does a good job without slowing down the computer too much. It comes in a multi-computer version so you can install one copy on 4 computers.

Mcafee and Norton are notorious for slowing down everything.

idnt want to seem biased but i must agree with you, I have kasperky free, it did a better job than my avast, and I wasnt bombarded by, you have 30 new threats please register or upgrade to fix rubbish. Kaspersky keeps log files like au other antivirus, but its like its not even there, till you look at the log files and its been updating and scaning and doing what a good av should do.

When I run something through totalvirus witch is a plethora of all the big players, kasperky is spot on. Even this free version wich resolves issues without prompting me to buy stuff.

The funniest of all is how my Avast goes crazy about viruses i may have on my pc, it wants me to register, then i check it with kaspersky , and also total antivirus ...nothing.

Personally, I use ESET, but you can get BitDefender & Kaspersky at a good price with 2-4 PC licencing.
Always try & invest in a good anti-virus, will save you at the end of the day.

Depends on the use of your computers. For the most part, there's is not a necessity to deploy a premium protection suite on our personal or home computers, a free antivirus is fine and enough. The most used free antivirus are Avira, Avsta, AVG and more here. However, a paid antivirus would be a wise choice in the case where you're running a business that requires an absolute safe environment in your computer.
Also, you can only get the support for multi-device protection on the most of premium security utilities like McAfee, Kaspersky, Panda and etc.

I do not think there is a better one, it just depend on licencing. Installing more than one anti-virus may slower the performance of your computer.
