    Backdated UIF declarations

    Hi all

I have managed to get my company registered for UIF. It has taken almost 3 months from time of submission of documents to labour department.

I have now created a profile on Ufiling and for the life of me I cannot determine how to submit backdated returns so that I am up to date. Once I have the declarations sorted I will make the necessary payment through efiling when paying my PAYE.

Am i missing something on the Ufiling site, I captured the details of the 2 contributors and when I submitted it created a record for August 2018 only.

    Please assist kindly.

    Best regards
    Kavesh

You will only be able to submit returns on uFiling that have been generated automatically on the site. It doesn't work like the SARS eFiling "Request Return" system.

If you use a payroll software system that generates a data file for submission to UIF, you email that to declarations@uif.gov.za

Otherwise, to submit previous monthly returns prior to what is available to you on uFiling, I suggest download the UI19 return form, complete for each month, and email it to webmaster@uif.gov.za

  3. Thanks given for this post:

    Hi Kavesh!
I am having the same problem now you had last year.
The uFiling call centre told me to submit my UI19 forms for the past months (so I can get backdated returns) to uif.declarations@labour.gov.za
I did that in Dec 2018 but still did not get any response. The uFiling call centre gives a message that it is closed due to power failure.
Were you successfull when you submitted it to webmaster@uif.gov.za ?
Any other advice will be appreciated.

The email address I use for a manual UI19 submission is : Webmaster2@labour.gov.za and I always get a response from them. I think the one Dave gave is wrong

Or perhaps outdated. It certainly was the working at the time of posting.

While trying to check, I have aslo discovered the entire labour.gov.za website is down at the moment... until 25th February according to the notice on https://www.labour.gov.za/

EDIT: And now I've come across this post by Johan - a planned outage, it seems.
