I see quick books has a annual renewal fee which is almost as much as purchasing the package initially which makes the online\cloud versions work out almost the same cost wise. Must be a sales tactic to move people over to the cloud versions.

If you are referring to a desktop version then no, you are mistaken there is no annual fee. You pay once and it is updated free of charge.
You are correct, as I was looking into it - I see the annual fee is for a quickperks license for updates etc...
hi
I am a reseller for Quickbooks.
The pro is not as effective in tracking inventory as the Premier if you have a large inventory.
I would suggest you try the online /cloud version. You pay a monthly fee which ranges from R199 to R411.00 a month depending on the package you choose. It can be used on various mobile devices. No worries about backing up or updating.

Thanks ANU, do you know the difference between what types of discounts you can apply to invoices \ products in Pro vs Premier?
This part confuses me:
Applicable to Pro & Premier
Easily set prices and determine discounts by customer or job (fixed %)
Applicable to Premier only
Easily set prices and determine discounts by customer or job (per item)

Please follow the link. it will give you a comparison regarding the difference between Pro & premier.
