Geyser only heats water during the day

    Hi all.

This week we had a brand new Kwikot 600 dual 150Lt geyser installed, it is wall mounted outside the house. Now my issue is that during the hours of around 6AM to 9AM the water is only luke warm despite the fact that i myself set the thermostat to about 60c during the afternoon and early evening the water is hot. What could the possible causes for this be?

    Thanks in advance.

Its brand new. If its not working properly its under warranty. Call the installer back, simple. BTW way I rebranded KWIKOT to KWIKRAP, they often do not even survive the now reduced 3y warranty. I would never ever install a KWIKRAP in my house.

If you have a geyser timer it might not be set to the right times...

Are any municipalities actively using ripple relays for demand side management? I'm not sure TBH. Also maybe it has a timer that's faulty or not correctly set.

Ripple relay is a long shot. If there is one it would be installed either in the DB or in a 100x100mm box in the DB close vicinity. I'd suggest phone your electricity supplier, they should be able to tell you off hand if they use them.

No, Geyser can heat water at any point of the day as it works on electricity. But yes if you are talking about solar geyser then the case will be different. It might only work only during the daytime.

I am facing the same issue ever since i converted my old natural gas heater to electric heater. It seems you have to keep them heating water all night to get hot water in the morning.

Not sure what you mean by all night to heat the water.
What size is the geyser, 100L, 150L, 200L?
    What size element, 500W, 1Kw, 2Kw, 3Kw?

Maybe you have a leak on the outgoing hot water side.
Maybe you need a geyser blanket to conserve the heated water in the geyser
Maybe you need to clad the incoming water supply and the hot water pipes.

I mean that is my first experience in electric heater. The capacity is 150L and it use to be a Natural gas heater which we were using from the last 9 years. It got damaged because of an incident and the person we hired to fix it gave us option that he can convert it to an electric geyser which we take now it is not performing as well as it use to be.
