    Scam job offers

In my search for a job , I keep getting a similiar reply and it seems off key to me. I haven't been in the job market for quite a while now so I don't know if this is kosher or just a money gathering stunt . Here is a sample of one of the replies....

    Dear Applicant
Invitation for interview – Ref: Wallace
Thank you for your application for the ELECTRICIAN position advertised online.
Report for Interview on Wednesday 4 July 2018 at 08:00am.
Address: Office 103, 1st floor, Factor House, 12 Kruis street / Albert street, Johannesburg.
Bring along your CV, I.D & R96 for CRIMINAL, EMPLOYMENT & CREDIT DISMISSAL CHECK.
    (See attached)
    Kind Regards
    Wallace
    Human Resources

What gets me is the mail is sent from a gmail address , All the replies want me to report to addresses in jhb central , the fee varies and there is no mention of recruiters company , even on the original advert. Should I even consider them?

Oh, it is great that you have found your answer regarding your issue. You can put the mails in the spam section so that you can ignore them. These days, many of the job seekers are facing this type of scam issues regarding jobs. So, beware of them, If possible, you can take legal steps as well.

What legal steps would you take?
How much would it cost in legal fees to recover the money you had paid over to these dubious employment agencies?

Here, legal steps mean some strict steps should be taken so that these fraud recruitment agencies think twice before committing such offense.
