    3d printing

    i am a toal newby when it comes to 3d printing but the possibilities are boundless!!! i need help guiding me to create images and download to print....i have a wanhao duplicator i3 plus....the issue here is what is the easiest design programme to use for beginners? i am currently using mehmixer and maker slicer but the prints do not come out the way they should .....i know i am doing something wrong...HEEELLP!!!

    I would download a ready made file like this puzzle from instructables and then print it as is to make sure it works with your printer. If it works use that as a base to play with so you can get used to how to design and what works and more importantly what doesn't.
    Good luck and post some pics of your work.
    Only stress when you can change the outcome!

    Thank you for the prompt reply.....when i print off the sd card that came with the printer the result is very good....but when i try and design and print off meshmixer/mattersclice the results are less than good.....is this the program/printer fault or my fault....?

    I don't have a 3d printer so can't help with that. Sounds like some troubleshooting is required.
    Only stress when you can change the outcome!

    Designing for 3D printing can be quite tricky and it helps a bit if you have some technical drawing background. As a start, make sure everything is "watertight" in order to print properly, and design with at least 1mm (2mm is better) walls.
