WCC ROE - Reports: OID vs 12mth History

Hi - I've inherited payroll and related matters (not my skill set but I'm learning every day) and want to complete ROE. I pulled both the VIP OID Summary and 12 month history report to check that the Earnings match on both, but they don't. Does anyone know why this could be, and should I rather use the Earnings on the 12 month report as these are accurate..OID report seems to be missing some data? TIA

The IOD report should be less because for starters the income limit is R33,625.

The 12 month history report will include all income and has no limits. Use the IOD report.

    Thank you A, I appreciate it !!

1 last question - are company perks, i.e. co portion of Provident Fund, also viewed as a staff earning?

No, fringe benefits in respect of employer contributions to medical aid, retirement annuities etc. These are source codes 3808 and 3810.
Nor is overtime, source code 3607, reimbursive travel allowances (3702 and 3703), subsistence allowances (codes 3704, 3705, 3715 and 3716) and then fringe benefits in respect of employees medical expenses paid by the employer, source code 3813

A, I have a quick question regarding overtime. I read in an article about a year ago that normal overtime should be included in the calculation of staff earnings.

Unless it is regular you can exclude it.

Have a look at page 9 of the gazette 40612_gon117.pdf
