Despite all the ghastliness that is around, human beings are made for goodness. The ones who ought to be held in high regard are not the ones how are militarily powerful, nor even economically prosperous. They are the ones who have the commitment to try and make this world a better place. We - The Elders - will endeavor to support those people and do our best for humanity. -- Desmond Tutu
Out of deep concern for the challenges currently facing all of the people of our world, Nelson Mandela, Graça Machel and Desmond Tutu have convened a group of leaders to contribute their wisdom, independent leadership and integrity to tackling some of the world's toughest problems.

The Elders

1. Has anyone else come upon this previously and what is your comments and thoughts?

2. Do you believe, as a small integral part of all humanity, that a group of "Elders" can make a big enough impact on the daily lives of some billions of other humans living around us?

3. Do you believe, as a small integral part of all humanity, that you as a human can also make a difference to those living around you, and more importantly, do you have what it takes?

4. As a single human being wanting to make a difference, can you stand up in a crowd of your peers and be a singular voice against the wrongs of our society, be the one person who is willing to face all odds and stop ignoring your environment and be what it takes to make a difference?
