Hi Cath - I have used PDF Creator for quite a while now and have been very happy with it.

Basically. The one I use is free and is "PDF Creator" by pdfforge. It sets itself up as a printer and then when you print to it your have the option of either saving your document in a pdf format or emailing it. If you choose to email it, it saves it and then automatically puts your pdf document into your email program as an attachment.

    Here is a link: http://www.pdfforge.org/pdfcreator/features

When installing all you need is the PDF Creator part.
