Greetings,

I have an old (well, 21/22 year old) townhouse with three-phase electricity supply from the City of Joburg. All the wires in the DB board are solid copper conductors. For some reason, however, when the house was built in 1996 ,the builders/electricians only used red PVC insulated wires.... No other colours! My electrician tells me that he cannot issue a CoC due to the color-coding issue and what the "electrical code" says (he does say that the wiring itself is properly done).

Are there any contrary views? Do I have to shell out a few thousand precious Rands for the re-wiring of the DB?
