    Best On Line Accounting package?

    Hi All

Looking for a bit of advice - I have a small business which has grown in the last 2 years and I now require an accounting package.
My query - Quick Books vs Sage Pastel??
I know that there is some debate on this - I just need the easiest option - must be user s friendly!!

Pastel is built by accountants, for accountants and preferred by SARS as it is difficult to cook the books. It does a magnificent job if you know how to use it, and other than asking for help here (Neville Bailey is the Pastel guru) you probably need to go on a course to learn how to operate it properly.
For ease of use I'd go with QuickBooks, although I've heard good reports about IQ Accounting, though never tried or experienced it.

If you bank with FNB, instant accounting works well as it is web based and syncs directly from your bank accounts, so no uploading.

    Hi Karen

We use Xero as our cloud-based online accounting software.

It is incredibly user friendly. You can go onto the website and try a free trial.

    Hope this helps!

    Cheers
    Tracy

How basic a system are you looking for. Just to process invoices and expenses, or do you need to track stock, do payroll, other bells and whistles?

SageONE Accounting is the best. I use it myself for my accounting practice and I encourage all my clients to use it. I am a SageONE advisor, so if you want help setting up, give me a shout.
