    Sars not paying out

Sars owe me a lot of money and is not paying this back.
I was audited and received the statement confirming this.
My tax was done by a tax expert.
What can be done about this?

You should speak to SARS. Preferably at your branch, as opposed to the call center.

A great number of people are now waiting for refunds.
Maybe it is because there is no money left to pay out because the Zuptas have stolen it all?!

What does your tax expert say?

There is a SARS Ombudsman I believe.

Personal tax. Going to see them next week.
Apparently, according to my tax practitioner, you must take proof of bank payments along to get paybacks. So I’ve got it.
Begging to get my money back....
    Wtf

I last had this about a year ago, it took about 90 days but they did pay. They start putting blocks into repayment. I know its going to sound trite but every accountants knows this - don't go into credit with SARS.! The only real way out is to use it against further payments. Even here you have to be careful, they will frustrate your efforts to offset payments against credits.

    1) plan your future tax payments

    2) Run a meticulous accounting system (like TurboCASH Accounting) and always have your financial figures up to date (and projected forward)

    3) Keep your main focus on revenue generation - not on SARS.

If you received a letter from sars that audit was completed your payout will be done within a few days
If their is hold on your payment due to bank details not verified you have to visit branch
Phone SARS cal centre and they will advise you if their is a hold on your refund and reason
They not holding refunds unless their is a reason

Unfortunately I've found that reason can seem pretty questionable at times, particularly when it comes to confirmation of banking details.

Ok, so I visited them this morning. Seems like the many people standing in queues everyday do it so Sars people can do their returns (huh)
Anyway, a lot of humm and hahs and wrong statements by the Sars employee behind the counter wasted a lot of time.
Seems she was checking to see whether all my documents were in order and have been handed in.
This, btw, did not stop her from making all kinds of statements ie Sars will pay you when they want to, you have not submitted this or that, oh its from 2 years back and bullsh8t like that.
I countered all her statements with facts.
Then she wanted to know why I have a bank stamped statement to show I’ve paid them a lot of money (which they did to a lot of taxpayers to generate income so Moyane could look good). On hearing it was on the advice of my tax practitioner she shut up. But she also wanted to know who they are - locals unfortunately for her.
She then advised me she is sending a note to their fund release department to get the funds released. She also said they were supposed to do it as soon as the audit on me was completed.
Now I have a reference number and have to wait 21 days (again and again and.....nevermind).
So things are not kosher in the Monyane department.
Sars can not be trusted and we shall have to manage them all the way.
I see a brilliant future for my daughter doing her masters in tax next year. She will always have customers. Lol
