    EMP501 - Uploading of certificates

    Hi all,

I was wondering if someone could perhaps shed some light on a problem I'm experiencing?

I'm trying to upload a couple of EMP501's (which is late but it has to be done)
For the purpose of the upload I created a submission from Sage One Payroll (created a .csv file from the information on Sage One)
When I log onto e-filing and choose the particular EMP501 I click on the "Upload certificates" button on the bottom-right and choose the .csv file for the particular company.

For each of the companies the following error appears: UIF Reference Number Mismatch : Format check failed - (SDL (2022) and UIF (2024) Reference Numbers don't correspond).
I checked the numbers thoroughly and can confirm the correct registration numbers are used, so why the error?

I would appreciate it if someone could perhaps assist in getting this resolved.

    Thank you.

    Hi

I have not used the efiling option to submit the EMP501.

I have found that the SARS EasyFile software was the easiest method to submit the EMP501. Sage One should allow you to export the IRP5/EMP501 data that you would then import into the SARS EasyFile application.

    Hope this helps.

    Achmat,

Thank for the reply. It looks like that is the way to go.
I was hoping I could avoid having to register each company on a third database (e-filing, Sage One and now easyfile as well)

    Regards.
