Question Nominee for a company registration

    Hi,
I am not South Africa`s citizen, but I want to make business here. I need advice: how to register a company with nominee director and I should control 100% of shares?
    Is it possible?
Maybe there is a consultant in this area?

Yes, but as I searched there is a quite little info concerning nominee. The only thing I have found is a company that offers to create offshore company with SA citizen, but I don`t need an offshore.

Yes, it is possible. Directors don't have to be shareholders. So you can register a company with yourself as the sole shareholder and a director who doesn't own any shares.

Any reputable auditor can handle the necessary registration for you. There are also some companies (like Swiftreg) that specialise in business registration, but I haven't personally used any of them so I can't comment on their service.

It sounds like registering a business here in South Africa is just the first step in a bigger plan. If you send me a private message explaining what you are trying to achieve (e.g. what sort of business you want to set up), I can advise you further and share some (hopefully) useful recommendations.

There are companies in SA that check for names etc and register companies. They are a lot cheaper than auditors ...... I certainly would not go to an auditor to register a company - save the money - you will need it for other things.

Yeap, auditor sounds expensive, but sometimes it is reasonable. Register companies are quite confusing and offer only offsores

    Hi

When you control 100% l should think the way is to register with you as a sole director, l am thinking a director with 0% shareholding may not make practical sense.
Why not consider other directors with 0.1-1% shareholding as an example, you can always fire those.
In my experience registering companies l am yet to see registered 0.00 % shareholders.
