Hi all, I own life rights on a cottage in a an Echo retirement village in Port Elizabeth. It is in the process of being refurbished at my cost. This entails gutting existing bathroom and replacing with walk in shower and Gerbarit concealed toilet cistern.
The Estates Manager had a look at the work and is happy except for the use of Tectite tubing. He's insisted that it be replace with copper tubing, as according to him that's their standard ( although I was not made aware of the building regulations).
Is there any justifiable reason for his decision as its replacement will involve me in more expense.
Anyone who can provide me with ammunition to fight this is mos welcome lcome to comment.
