    Post Office - Stamps

The Kempton Park Post Office only have R4, R8 & R10 postage stamps, they are "out of stock" of the normal postage stamps.

When asked what one could do, or when they would have some to sell - the clerk just shrugged his shoulders!

Have you ever heard of a post office being out of stock of postage stamps?

Have you had a sales clerk just shrug their shoulders when a client asks when their basic stock in trade might be back on the shelves?

    Common occurance here in Gauteng!

Telling the assistant how you feel about it, does nothing for your frustration levels, sometimes they think you are actually sharing a joke with them!

Asking an assistant to contact a supervisor as you genuinely want to order and purchase the item frequently leaves you standing, eventually after waiting for a long time, you leave your card with the assistant and ask that the supervisor contact you this leads to no response.

The assistants just do not get the equasion: their service equals the viability of their earnings!

Latest incident, walked up to the till counter, the assistant was "slumped over" as if seriously ill, I asked her if she was O.K. - could I call for help?, she just grunted that she was tired, and served me as if she had the entire day in which to do so. She made no attempt to take anything out of my basket either, and very obviously expected me to pass her each item.

I recently even waited whilst the till assistant in a supermarket, "Tasted" something - plate, knife and fork - which another of the stores employees brought over to her - in the middle of scanning my purchases! The two stood chatting, and did not acknowledge my presence at all.
The real problem is that we hate to complain as we appear to be racist!
