My employer wants to simplify our reordering of stock. To do this he wants a report that states which items and quantities were sold for the previous month.
With that we also need to see how many of those items are still on hand so that we can decide if it is necessary to reorder certain items. This will be based on how many are still on hand as well as how fast the items move.

I first tried by going to View/Inventory/History/Item sequence. And selecting the options:
  • Search by: Inventory Category
  • Start - End: 000 - 999
  • Code start to end: blank to zzz
  • First to last day of the required month
  • Transaction type: Tax Invoice
  • Unticked show details


The result is perfect except it does not show how many of the listed items are still on hand.

After scratching around some more, I discovered we have a module for Intelligence reporting on our package. It seems to me you can do pretty much anything with it in terms of reporting. That is, if you have sufficient skill with Excel. It seems that when you edit a report module, you have to manually edit the excel template accordingly as well, or am I missing something? I currently do not have the skill/knowledge to do the excel part.

To recap, all I need is a report that states which items and quantities were sold in the previous month including how many are still on hand.
