    Pastel restoring in different versions

Hi. Please could I ask if Pastel Partner v14 can be restored into Pastel Xpress v14?

Yes, it can, provided that Xpress V14 is on the same or later build of V14 that Partner V14 is running.

Also, if the company running on Partner has data processed by some of the add-on modules available to Partner (e.g. Serial Number Tracking, Bills of Material, etc), then that data will not be available when the company is restored to Xpress.

Thanks. Could anyone help me to get the back up into my Pastel? Do I need to create the company and then restore the back up or how can it be done? I have never had the company on my Pastel previously and the accountants have just sent me a back up.

I assume that the backup file is a zip file.

Extract the zip file in Windows and save the resulting folder in your Pastel (Xpress14) folder. You might want to edit the folder name to exclude the backup date and timestamp. Open the folder in Windows and delete the file named backup.txt.

Then open Pastel and add the company to your menu with the Add Company button.
