    FB to share info with Whattsapp - How to Disable

    I have just found out today, that Facebook will share info with your Whatsapp account.

    Thankfully Whatsapp has a disable tick. Click to find out how to do it.

    and for the not so tech savvy user, a little brief sharing of info tip.

    It is not always easy to know what data a specific phone app will access, or how it will be used. Before you download an application, consider what you know about who created it and what it does. The application online stores may include information about the company that developed the application, if the developer provides it honestly. If the developer doesn’t provide contact information – like a website or an email address – the application may be less than trustworthy.

    If you’re using an Android operating system, you will have an opportunity to read the “permissions” just before you install an application. Read them. It is useful information that tells you what information the application will access on your device. Ask yourself whether the permissions make sense given the purpose of the application; for example, there’s no reason for an e-book or “wallpaper” application to read your text messages.

    The reality is many users do not really take that much notice of the application or what it actually does with data. Fact is that phone applications are about usage and information of the device. The only way to not be caught out is not have a smart phone, but then that may get rather boring and some may feel very alone in the world.
