    National Credit Regulator to assist the poor

    The National Credit Regulator has set up a fund to finance the cost of debt counselling for poor households with a monthly earning of les than R2500.00 per month.

    Under this arrangement, debt counsellors will be paid R500 from the fund for each case involving a low-income earner.

    Apparently they've got R1 million so far, with a budget from gov of R5 million that they can tap into. But apparently they've been fundraising too.
