    Free Windows utilities

Check this site out. This is surely the best collection of nifty free utilities.

What's the downside risk potential on some of those sniffer tools, Adrian?

I can't really say I've run most of the tools and they all seem to be decent, small, standalone packages. The company seems to be legit.

Personally I actually like using http://portableapps.com/ ... but for a different reason. Though it does allow for all those same programs and/or utilities, and many more besides.

Alternatively one I have used before, and find very nice indeed is https://chocolatey.org/ ... effectively a Linux-like package repository but for Windows. Finally, something which works properly as a program installer, uninstaller, dependency manager & updater.
