My Touran is just too low for Africa. Some speedbumps, even at slow speed, make contact. If I plan a weekend away (often farm stays or similar) and there is talk of a dirt road I get nervous. And I guess it doe snot help that I have 225/45/17 rubbers on it.

Appartently one shock is on its way out so I need to look at a new pair in any case. Can I raise the vehicle height by changing shocks or springs of both without compromising handling and safety? Volkswgen is not helpful.

The Touran is based on Golf chassis I think. Maybe I am lucky and I get a pimp workshop who has a client who wants it lowered and we swap, lol.

Seriouly., who on Cape Town would do something like that? Who do I turn to?
