    Cable depth

    Good day,

Is it correct that an armoured cable can be buried right below paving? The regulations only refer to unarmoured.

    Reg 6.4.4.2 (a)

    Thank you

Page 114, Table 6.8 should help maybe? Standard Conditions Of Installation for: multicore pvc insulated armoured cables buried directly in the ground:: 0.5m Depth Of Burial. Also see SANS 1507. (as sans 10142 refers to it)

Thank you Ace - understood. The regulations note 6.4.4.2 (a) - unarmoured cable may be buried 1) in less than .5m 2) in a conduit 3) under paving or concrete.

My question however is does this apply to armoured cable also?
