a true supporter will stick with the ups and the downs... But ja this is actually good for the game. IF we come home early we don't automatically qualify for the next world cup and that means a lot of qualifiers and a lot of new blood will come in and that is a good thing in my book. The downside is how far politics will go... And IF politics become a problem we may even see expulsion and then my DSTV decoder will remain off indefinitely...

So IF things go horribly wrong this might well be our last world cup... But i am hopeful that things will not go so badly and that at worse we get to see a new team being developed... and a lot of hard games with a lot more drama
peace is a state of mind

This will never be our last world cup. To qualify to be in a world cup is a 4 year period. No matter what, we are and always will be in the top 10 teams in the world.

I was in the opinion (before this game) that we do need the older players in the team, but after sat I do feel that one guy that should be replaced in Jean de Villers. The combination of Damion and Jessie Kriel was an awesome combination. I went to the game in CT when they played the World 15. We went into this game being complacent - we never change game plans if things go wrong and for this I blame Heyneke Meyer. I said to my family before the game that we need to watch out for Eddie Jones - he has a never give up attitude - The last couple of years so many of our players have played in Japan - What we did not realise that they were getting paid big bucks to play there and they were learning from our players all this time and then they hired Jones. They are a very clever nation.

All respect to them that in the dying minutes they were awarded two penalties right on our line and they chose to go for the try. This is a Eddie Jones trait - he will never go for the draw - he plays to win.

All thro the game when we saw the coaches - Eddies Jones had a calm controlling attitude. Our coach was as nervous as hell and pacing up and down chewing his nails !!! If you think about it - it should have been the other way round, but it was not - Eddie Jones did his homework and nailed us where we never even thought he would take us down.

Well done Japan - you made history.

Another dismal fact is - A team that has lost a game in the initial pool stages has NEVER one the Cup. Therefore if we are to win the Cup we will also make history.

Being beaten by Japan can be likened to a John Deere tractor being run over by a Toyota Corolla

Actually he said he was furiously trying to message them to settle for the draw!
Agree with all that you said.
