Pastel Payroll - Employee contributions to RA fund

    Hi,

We currently dont contribute towards any RA fund for employees (all income deemed non-retirement funding income) however many employees contribute in their personal capacity.

If I want to record an employees personal contributions on their payslip, to reduce their monthly PAYE payments rather than requiring them to claim back at the end of the year, which code would I record that against?

    Hi,

So my followup question is around RFI and non-RFI in pastel.

All our employees contribute to their own provident funds so entire income is non-RFI on payslips - how do I set this up under transactions / pastel????

Hi Travis. Look under "setup" "transactions" "5000 Basic Salary" - goto tab at bottom "Calculation Totals"

Scroll through the list and make sure that "Non Retirement Funding Income" is ticked.

If you are wanting to add clearance numbers for each Employee - goto the Employee Masterfile, then to the "Funds" tab and enter the details under "Provident Fund"

    Hi,

Tried that and all the blocks are greyed out - i.e. I can't tick or untick any of the options?

Make sure that there are no processed employees as the transaction is then considered "in use" and will be greyed out.
