Question Suppliers interaction with companies in SA

What are suppliers preferred interaction channel with big companies in South Africa? Is it Phone/ SMS/ Email / Whatsapp/ CRM technologies etc.....?
Is there any existing research/study that analyses customers/suppliers interaction with companies in SA broken down by technology, cost and security.

Just what sort of "interaction" are you referring to?

Marketing stage queries, order placing, or delivery related communications?
To my mind, each type has a different "preferred interaction channel" as its number one.
Quite often you need to use multiple approaches.

For example, when it comes to setting appointments, I reckon best practice is a phone call, then reinforcing with SMS and/or shared Outlook/Google calendar appointment.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your response.
I am looking specifically at indirect sourcing suppliers and their interaction with companies when it comes to the "buy to sell" business process. Interactions could range from inquiring about payment to updating the company about shipments etc.
I am looking for any research/study that has been done about this. Do suppliers in South Africa use mostly phone or email or text or any other technology that I can't think of?
As an example, in China, there is a new trend of using WeChat as the number one business correspondence.
