    NPC vs NPO

    Hi

I am not too sure it this is the right place, but I need some clarity.

I have a friend that runs a charity and wanted to register a Non Profit Organization (NPO). The company helping her register misunderstood and registered a Non Profit Company (NPC).

She is adamant that she wants a NPO. Will we be able to register the NPC as a NPO?

Personally I have looked at both and see no difference (just registered with different entities).

    TIA

Yes, you can register a NPC as a NPO. Maybe it was a good thing that she got registered as a NPC, now she has a formal entity to begin her activities. From experience the NPO takes a long time and has a lot more requirements.

Hi...I have the same situation NPC instead of NPO. How can I use this situation to my advantage and make it work. I want to begin by starting a community orientated project "A Soup Kitchen" at first.
