selling a vehicle to defray costs

Hi, a guest left a vehicle in our carpark of our B&B 15 months ago, I cannot get hold of the owner. How do I go about selling this vehicle?

You effectively need a court order which means you will need a seperate application about service - normally an advert in the newspaper.
You are entitled to rent for the occupation.
If the car is sold, with or without a court order, then the owner is entitled to the proceeds left over after any money due to you.

Thanks Sterne, appreciate your advise, can the car be sold without papers?

Well one of your first steps will be to check if the car is financed, that may just address all the issues.
