Renewing your vehicle licence when the vehicle is registered to a business

    Hi fellow forumites!

I need to renew my vehicle licence as SAPO has not delivered my renewal letter

I filled in a ALV form and took it to the post office but they are asking for some number that all businesses have when vehicles are registered under them. I have no idea what this could be, could anyone help me out here?

Yes, quite right. When u first registered a car in the business name you get a Business Registration Certificate that looks very similar to a natis (log book). You don't ever need it again until special circumstances arise for you to produce it. I've lost mine (probably first issued some 10 years ago) & need to apply for a copy

The number they're asking for could probably got from your natis of the vehicle. Have a look about half way down the natis, & under TiTLE HOLDER you will see that 'Type of identification' will say "Business reg certif" and then on the next line it says Identification number and gives a number and it is probably this number they are looking for.
