Just read this article Jacob Zuma: It’s still apartheid’s fault

Look at SA what has happened with all the resources, education, skills and wealth then look at what has happened to a place like Orania. Nobody wanted the land and now it is worth 500 mil. Need to prepare my daughter for a regter boer so that I can retire there

And so the load shedding buzz has halted for a period of time. It might be a good time to prepare, dont waste money on short term solutions.

A simple solution for people who dont have tons of money.

A generator ( I use a 2.5 kva for my house) which is stored in the garage, connected via a change over switch at the meter box and a long 2.5 mm extension.
Small solar panel with a couple LED lights running off a small battery 7 amp/hr.
Small invertor with a deep cycle battery to keep the electronics running, you could also run additional lights off the battery.
Gas stove, even an affrox 2 plate will work for power outages.

Thats all you need to keep your house going.

    load shedding

And now petrol bombs thrown at our houses, what next. I know we in the dark but no need to light up our houses with fire

Edit...I have been corrected and told It wasnt a petrol bomb, instead it was a bottle with paraffin and a rag which they lit. Not the same thing.
