    Employment

    The rules of the game has changed. To be employed, we had to have training skills or qualification. Now, qualification or training skills are nothhng but its connection dertemine your employment. This gives corruption a chance to take place.

    Really not sure what you are trying to say here ....... Perhaps if you explained yourself a bit clearer this would also help with your "stress".

    A case of preferential treatment of family in a family business in the private sector is not on, but cadre and crony deployment is just peachy?

    Yes. If it does not work out, the family will be the ones getting hurt not the public stake holders. So in my mind, big difference.

    Well, throughout history, sons have learned the trade from their fathers. this is only natural. nobody that is incapable gets hired, and, if the person is known to the employer, then it is just as well that they have a relationship already to make business and work more pleasant.

    If you want to get a job today, you need to sell yourself. besides qualifications and work experience, you need a place that does business. like a tool shop that doesn't get business run by a mechanical engineer with a decade of experience... who cares? it is about getting paid! if you work at a seven eleven and you have your own home grown tomatoes there - and they get famous! - then you are making money. it is wrong to be a leach in the corporate environment that gets everything right and doesn't make money for the owners or share holders.

    So, if you were to look at children in china working, there is not enough corporate jobs to be had for all - they will end up working there in the future anyways, and, now they can be promoted already. there is nothing wrong here - [minus] studies [minus] family money or [plus] wages and [plus] family money [plus] connections and experience.

    Now, if you want to get a job out there, as i said, you need to sell yourself. are you a new idea? are you an innovation? have you got a go getter attitude? have you got lots of free time? all these things will make you a better candidate than the other people if you impress your boss enough to hire you, then you get paid.

    Or, you could try to start your own venture? you could skim money off as a middle man, or, even shine shoes or peel potatoes, or sell your goods to hawkers - it will work it's way up - like something that is your own 'produce.' if you are the product, then you need to present yourself. then you need to put yourself on 'display.' these things you need to do to get a job over someone else, but;

    If you want to work for yourself, you need financial backing. i have repeated this over and over, but you need to go to the bank for this. if you were to get a loan, you need to present a good idea. i know a guy that got a loan to build a village with factories and the bank approved it. he stands to make a lot of money, you better believe it!

    So, if you have an idea, say you want to export proteas, or deal with Lesotho where stuff costs less, you could say buy from there as they are impoverished. then, they make money selling to you, and you save money buying from them. they of course didn't answer me to this deal, and now it is too late, you are here!

    Or, maybe you want to buy fish on the beach? the fishermen do not have transport to the city center, so they will sell you the fish if you do at a lower cost. minus your petrol expenditure, you are selling people your 'time.' you are getting paid for your time too!
    !! Going to my destruction !!

    This is because the people allow a corrupt government to rule with impunity. All over the world in prosperous countries, the criteria is the ability, aptitude and attitude to do the work. Skills comes from learning, whether it be from an apprenticeship or otherwise. Unfortunately, in our country, the majority have been hoodwinked into voting for a government that cares not for its people, but only for their own pockets. All public services are falling apart because we no longer have the skills. Skilled people have been chased away and have been replaced by cadres loyal to the Party. We will be paying for this mess for a very long time...
    Excellence is not a skill; its an attitude...

    At this very moment we are reaping the sown seed through one of the parastatals - ESKOM. See how it has affected and is affecting and will still affect the country in growth and prosperity. This will take some 20 years to recover to the levels we were at prior to 2008
