VIP payroll import botched leave - how do i reverse

so my payroll admin is in tears. she uses import files (a flat file with leave details) to import leave taken from regional centres. something was misaligned and now the entire labour force of 800+ has taken in some cases 100 days leave, which is definitely not true.

can this be undone/fixed . can I reverse the import or clear leave applications made in a certain date range.

    thanks all

I see no answers being offered up. But the dilemma did remind me of the importance of maintaining a well thought through backup regime. It's not just for data loss...
