I guess things are slowly improving at the CIPC or it was my lucky break.

Then you don't even need to change directors and wait a month, and you are sure that this is a brand new company.

And to make it even better, these days CIPC communicates with SARS, and you have your income tax number within 21 working days! I have done 3 companies in the past month, all with pleasant experiences.
That's good to hear! Thanks for the feedback.

Just a quick question: my client does not live in my immediate vicinity and has asked if she could email through scanned copies of her certified ID and power of attorney. Would the CIPC accept scans of the documents or would they require the original copies?

All you do is print out the scans your client emailed to you (certified ID's and signed CoR forms), put all of the required documents together i.e. CoR14.1, CoR 15.1, CoR 9.4 (proof of name reserved), ID's of directors and ID of CIPC client (applicant). Scan the lot into one document and mail to companiesonline@cipc.co.za.

Remember that the CoR forms also need to be certified as true copies or else the CIPC will reject the application. I encountered a rejection of a CK2 where the CK2 hybrid was not certified. Boggled my mind as the docs are printed from their website, are being scanned and emailed and they want them certified as true copies of the original, not hand delivered or anything.

Been waiting over a month now for a name change...no dice.

    CIPC is on drugs.

I am looking for contact details of a cc by name. I cannot find the search field on CPIC website anymore. Does anyone know how to get that info?

@Houses4Rent What details do you need?

If you go to http://www.cipro.gov.za/2/home/ you can search for the enterprise in the left bottom corner.

Thanks, that was the one I was looking for. That was CIPRO though. Are you sure that that data is still up to date?

I am looking for contact details. Its not a trading company. No website

I now clicked on any company name of the list which came up and it returned

@Houses4Rent - The only contact details I can think of that you will be able to get, is the Postal and registered address.

This you will get by logging in on www.cipc.co.za and choosing a free disclosure form. However, I see this morning that the website have changed, so I am not sure if the procedure will have changed.

Thanks, I now found out that it might not be a CC after all. Maybe I just go there and ask the people hanging around there in these properties what I need to know.
I am trying to find out what is going to happen with some run down units next to the block I might buy a flat in.

Do your prospective tenants comply when you ask for bank statements and do you get 3 months? After TPN, payslip and reference from previous landlord isn't it too much to ask at this point? I've always wondered what weird and wonderful expenses show up on those statements..
