...a thought struck me last night....

Thinking that one will make money by manufacturing and not selling can be likened to masturbating and hoping to have kids....

Funny how my mind sometimes laterally cross-connects ideas that make perfect sense (to me at least)

My downfall in business is the lack of sales...because I don't like to sell. The hunt is on for a freelance REP!

Adrian with your IT knowledge, perhaps a greatly improved web site with a targeted marketing drive will require no selling and it would be international orders that may be the 'phillup' you need (because you can charge more???).
An investment in Carruthers course may be the answer?

You know, I have great staff, great products and k@k sales. My graphic designer ROCKS. With her artistic abilities, my technical skills and the abilities of my staff we simply have to make money... I am absolutely convinced that all we need is a rep. I don't want to employ a person full time because our range does not warrant it. I just need a person who is already out there knocking on doors. I'll give them 10-15% commission.

I personally don't want to sell and I also don't want to deal directly with the customers on a day to day basis unless the customer requires specialized work done. There are people who are natural sellers and they should be applied to do what they are good at. I just annoy the customers :-)

Ugh sales...couldn't think of anything worse to do...hate it with a passion! I feel like I have to walk around begging for money and kissing ass, not my style, and I hate phoning people!

I can't do it. I don't like the social dance of bull$hitting one another going round and round until they agree (when I'm sober that is) Maybe that's why getting laid (sober) was so difficult. The problem is of course that if you go selling after a couple of drinks you no longer care about the sale and you end up hitting on the dog ugly lady at the till who has no say anyway :-)

    Then don't sell!

Just find people with challenges that you can solve - or help them to find you (which is called marketing), and sales start taking care of themselves.
