What is the correct procedure to connect a UPS to a load which was originally connected to the main DB.

Lets take an example, there is a plug circuit in the main DB which runs a server, the client wants a UPS on this line, as he does not want the UPS in the server room.
The UPS is to be in a separate room as the DB. So effectively the circuit breaker feeding the server, will now be routed to the UPS, and the UPS output line is now fed into the original cable feeding the server room. The UPS has its own circuit breaker in case of an overload or a fault in the line going to the server room.

My concern here is as follows :-
1. How does an electrician create the COC for this modification?
2. There is some maintenance to be done at a later stage on the server room connection, an electrician then switches the circuit breaker for the server room off, however if he is not aware of the UPS, there obviously going to be power on the line at the server room, because the UPS will kick in to maintain power to the server room. What kind of warning material must be placed on the DB board or where ever to ensure that safety is not compromised?
