Systemax Adopts the VIA C7-D Processor for Energy Efficient PCs for the US

Based on the low power VIA pc2500 mainboard, the Systemax PC features the VIA C7-D processor, with a maximum power of just 20 watts, and the VIA CN700 digital media chipset with the VIA UniChrome Pro II integrated graphics processor. The Systemax PC bundles hardware and software and fully addresses the need to run high performance desktop applications while enabling US businesses, schools and homes to lower their electricity usage and therefore their power bills significantly.

The new Systemax PC model is available in two SKUs, one with Microsoft Windows XP Home, and the other with Microsoft Windows XP Professional.

Designed from the ground up for reliable performance and low power consumption, the VIA pc2500 combines leading performance per watt with all the latest PC technologies, including DDR2 system memory, Serial ATA hard drive, and USB2.0 for 480Mb/s connections to bandwidth-hungry peripherals. The VIA UniChrome Pro II integrated graphics processor features hardware MPEG-2 video decoding acceleration for smooth DVD playback, multi-channel audio and 128-bit 2D and 3D graphics engines for an enhanced multimedia experience.
