Angry Cannot contact Dept of Labour???

Please guys could someone maybe shed some light on this for me?
I have been trying to get hold of the dept of labour for over a month now and no one is answering the phones!
This is in connection with my electrical registration.
I paid the R120 that they requested on the 10th Feb, and sent in all certified copies of everything they needed.
They replied on the 10th April via post that i need to pay the money still and also that they still require a certified copy of my N3 certificate!
They have all of this already!
I have a direct number for a certain Mrs Gladys Mphahlele, but she is not answering the phone.
I have tried the general number as well but also no answer.
I have phoned Telkom and asked them to test the number and they say that the number is fine and that they have probably diverted the numbers to an empty office!!! WTF?!!
This is the country's Labour Department!!
I'm at my wits end. I need to sort this out to get my licence sorted, but if i cannot contact them i cannot see how to remedy this situation.
Any help would be very welcome indeed...
    Cheers guys
    Simon
Ps: Their websites are down as well...i cannot even get onto the local DOL sites??!!

    Hello deejaypsy,
Yep, the website is down since last week... and I have 38 x RoE's to submit before Friday. I have even tried to get on at 3am this morning, but still... offline
You can try their normal switchboard number - they usually answer : 012-3199111 - I phoned yesterday.

    Good luck.
always fear when Christel is near....

Their website was down last month and magically came to life again on the 1st of this month...

I wonder if they're hitting a monthly bandwidth cap?

I have been trying the website and call center number for weeks without luck. tried 012 3199111 just after 16h00 today and hung on until 16h20 without being able to speak to anyone. Then I called Bellville DOL on 021 941 7000 and hung on until 16h30, still no joy. Will try again in the morning but I don't hold out much hope. I guess I am off to the local office tomorrow, but am more or less resigned to paying the penalty.

Made me smile briefly until I realised it's not so far fetched and unlikely as it initially sounds
