Talking Payslip private or business email address

Hello there. I have a question is there a law that indicates how to send out payslips to employees, private or business email address?

    THANK YOU Miriam

I have no idea, but I would think the employee specifies the address he wants to receive them and you just use that address.

The business email address is mainly there for when the payslips are printed and distributed by a nominated person, who has nothing to do with payroll processing.

Thinking of best practice, I'd add it's probably a good idea to include in that instruction that they accept email delivery of their payslips.

Good question. We are currently implementing VIP Payroll system because our clients are asking us to do payroll for them. Yesterday I had a demo with the sales lady. Now my feeling is a work computer for a person should not be password locked - it should be accessible to the boss if you are off work for whatever reason, but then it is accessible to everyone ............ and theoretically should be - it is a work computer at the end of the day, not your private computer. Therefore VIP have said they have a system that to overcome this you would send the payslip out to the employee, but with a unlock code that they have previously advised you of.
Therefore to protect this piece of private company info they would need to put their short password in when opening their payslip attachment.

PS. Mirium - If you are interested we could do your payroll for you and eliminate all your problems.
We have been doing it for quite some time, but on my own written programs on excel.

Just to let you know. The VIP payslips are password protected but it's always the persons birthdate YYYYMMDD this is stupid. As soon as you know this persons password you can access the payslip. I know that in Pastel payroll you can personalise the password. Not sure but my client is really not happy about this and I can't give them a better solution. I was always a big fan about VIP. I am using now VIP liquid. Be aware with my MAC I have problems. MAC with Safari Browser I can't save and print (they send me instruction how to solve the problem but still not working). Mac with Google I can't fill anything in but I can print. I am using 2 different browsers to do what I need to do.

They did say that they can put any password into the system on VIP Classic.
