    Pastel Xpress V12

Hi, could some-one please help me, in Forms Designer I have designed a new Document. Now I want to make the "Line Item Description Field" bigger than it is, how do I do that because I have tried to do it by enlarging it in the Position tab and the drag way. Or is it not possible with Pastel Xpress V12.

    Thanks

Hi Isabel, you need to change the properties of that field to Individual and then change the font and font size.

That's for Partner, I assume it would be the same in Xpress.

Form designer is a stand alone package, so I can't see why there should be a difference between the designer supplied with Partner or Xpress.
Mine is Pastel Forms Designer 12.0.2
You can e-mail me the file with details how and what you want to modify, and I will have a look if I can help.

  6. Thanks given for this post:

    Hi Isabel

You need to select a different data field on your form. It doesn't make any difference how wide you make the field if Pastel only allows 12 characters in the field. On your new form, click on the "Line Item Description" field and then delete it; you will then put in a new field in its place. On the right side of the screen there is a list of data fields. Scroll down the list and have a look for the Line Item Description [20]" field. Drag and drop that onto your form and it will now print 20 characters in the description field.

Let me know if you get stuck!

Hi, thank you F.Viljoen and Kerry.P for replying.

I have tried almost everything to change the width of the column, in the forms designer document it do enlarge but when I print the Quote or Invoice from my company it still only print a part of the description and the rest on the next line.

I have read the following in Help : Document lines
You can enter a description of up to 40 characters on the line.

So I do not know if you do get the same.

    Regards
    Isabel
