My latest products on their way to Rovos Rail

I cannot even begin to tell you how many hours was spent to make these models. It's one of those "it just has to be perfect things" which makes the manufacture of the first ones a really long process.

That looks great Adrian. I used to go to school in CT with a friend who lives in the UK who is VERY into these trains as well.

    Wow now that looks great.
The amount of work that went into that

Adrian I hope Rovos appreciates that and you get lots of orders.

    Looks cool!

How much do you charge for the Class 25NC steam locomotive with standard tender?

Stupid question, but is it really a little steam engine?

That is a work of art. Is there any chance you could take a photo of one of the models, with a ruler or something just to give an idea of the actual size

They really do appreciate it. I do lots of models for them and they are great to work with. I'm not just saying it because they are a big client.

I have a friend who is passionate about model airplane[those that fly], I admire you guys. I’ve seen how much time, effort and planning goes into one single model..

Wow! Great work Adrian. I hope you charge what its really worth and not just what the client thinks he should pay. Is it not possible to start a small production line and sell on the internet? It would be worth much more in $ or Pounds, and there are many enthusiasts all over the world. Imagine exporting to China!

I currently sell about 300 different model types across the world. We have a production line with two people dedicated to manufactring. The biggest problem that I facemis that we are unable to deliver fast enough. Although our production methods are better than anybody else in the country they are simply not good enough. I wrestle mentally on a dail bases trying to figure ways to do things better and faster. I am going to start casting the models in White Metal in the new year.

If I had to charge the client in terms of hours and effort put in they would simply not bu the product. It's a terribly difficult tradeoff between time taken quality and generally acceptable price. The problem that I sit with is that I put quality first and price last. The implication is that the customer get a beautiful product for an unrealistic price given the time taken....maybe I just figurednout the mathematical formula for determining the appropriate price vs time vs quality triange...hmmmm serious food for thought...
