Hi PGS - glad to see you found your way around to starting a thread.

I used to have Vodamail and received all kinds of spam as well has being told that some of my legitimate emails were unsolicited bulk mail. When I phoned them their attitude was that it was a "free" service so I shouldn't expect too much.

Needless to say I am no longer with them.

Probably being bounced by the Hotmail server reading that.

Can you copy and paste the full error message?

I've had similar issues with that "free" email from the ISP. The trouble is that to keep a domain from the international blacklist means it needs constant TLC, especially if you don't have control over the users' sending patterns (which an ISP usually don't). And most of the ISP's consider the email as just an added bonus - they're unwilling to employ a whole army of IT blokes to keep on whitelisting their domain. Places like gmail & hotmail specialize in their domain, so they can afford the needed attention (and discontinuing inappropriate users - i.e. spammers).

I know from experience: A previous company I worked for had their own domain and had several international branches. Around 300 employees planet-wide. Even with just that (and constant reminders to "not forward any unsolicited mails") they had issues with blacklisting nearly on a weekly basis.

For me, I simply ignore the ISP's "free email". I sometimes even ask: "Can I get a discount because I WILL NOT use your trash". IMO many of the other (also free) services are orders of magnitude better than the ISP's after-thought products.
