Recently Police went around the carpark at Forways, and found around 25% of cars were unlocked - some with visible parcels and packets, clothing, etc. on the seats.

They left polite notices to the people about taking due care.

And one guy went to them and HURLED abuse at them, saying if he wanted to leave his car unlocked it is his business....

    They cannot win!

Well we don't want them to write out tickets in a parking lot, and apparently some don't want them to even leave a friendly safety note... I bet the "abuse hurler" will hurl further abuse when his car is stolen, and he'll be using sentences like, "I hate this F@#$% country, you can't even leave your car unlocked for 5-minutes, the F@#$% cops don't do their jobs..."

Why is it that we hate it when anyone shows us our own failings?
Why do we except that we can make mistakes, but nobody else may?

As far as dragging a poor blind guy out of the mall, and breaking his guitar, if I were a patron of said shopping mall, the mall management would be getting very stern letters.

From reports at my local CPF (there I go again) a lot of people do this kind of thing so that they can get a reported case number and then claim from insurance to upgrade their laptops and or cell phones.

Lately the cops have been insisting you swear out an affidavit before they will give you a case number, surprising how many people suddenly remember that they can be charged with perjury for falsely reporting the theft of their items.

Whereas if you leave it in your car and it gets stolen, well there you go!
