postal address: PO Box 940, Durban, 4000

Tried to log onto the DOl website, a security warning appears indicating that their Shield icon

    The banking details supplied

    FNB
    account number 6202 513 5577
    branch code 25 31 45
    reference OHS-EIR (contracotrs name)
    fee R120

Is this info correct, because I am almost finished with the migration of the 2 companies and need to make sure all my ducks are ducks are in a row.

My plan is to pay the yearly registration fee then send them the details, then just use my old registration number until they sort themselves out, At least if I get caught I have paid the fee, that's all the registration is about money, money, money.

I received 2 documents from the DOL

1/ Registration of electrical contractor with banking details and
    2/ Annexure 3

Banking details as listed below and the following docs required:

    1/Company owner ID
    2/Wireman's license
    3/Company registration documents

and an address to send documents
    PO Box 940
    Durban
    4000

SO my plan is to fill out the forms, get a really good scanner to copy everything ( make them look like originals) then email to the fellas. Posting is just so last century, I know some times I forget I live in a country where the solution to long ques is not to employ more staff, but rather supply more benches and a TV to shut people up.

  5. Thanks given for this post:

I have already paid R120.00 via EFT, tomorrow I will scan and email all the documents and send the documents via the post.

    Lets see what happens.

Tried to call Cipro, but message due to high call volumes there is a long waiting period, I don't do waiting periods so email is sent, money has been transferred and as far as I am concerned, payment is as good as registration, notice, pending on all documentation.

You are cynical beyond your years but that line nearly cost me a mouthful of coffee

Tap, for now nobody knows their ass from the elbow, so I am gona take my chances for now and hopefully all will end well. I am not in a rush to register just dotting all the i's. I cant see the DOL pulling rabbits out of any hats soon, it will still get worse before it gets better, if it ever does.
