Must a logbook be kept if you receive a reimbursive travel allowance?

    Hi,

Must a detailed logbook be kept if you receive a reimbursive travel allowance and you travelled less than 8,000km for business for the year?

I spoke to SARS and they confirmed that you don't fill it out on your ITR12 (I remember this from a form I did last year for a client).

But, you still need to keep a logbook and they might request it if you are selected for an audit.
