    Contract for street marketers?

I want to market a product by using university students and young people to hand out fliers and so forth. I don’t wish to employ them, but will if most prudent. I have done similar marketing before for my business. My concern is that without a contract of some sort there may possibly be legal implications if something goes wrong, like being hit by a car whilst marketing.

I am a bit of a plaas japi when it comes to this.
I wish to, if possible, indemnify myself (Sole Prop), from any possible legal action against me if something happens to my marketers.
I have thought of business liability, but I think they must be under my employ.

    What is the best?
    1 Contract vs no contract
2 If contract, what is the best way to do it
    3 If no contract, why...?

All they would be doing is hand out fliers while looking good. They are just students making an extra buck, they are not part of a business or anything.... But you know what......... In fact now that I think about it, this could be a good opportunity for the young marketers to start their own small business while studying. I can help them set things up and possibly get a preferred rate...

If they are set up, I would not have to worry about the question I posed
