    Annual Returns on CIPC website

    Hi,
I need to submit the Annual return for 3 different companies on the CIPC website before the 10th of May to avoid additional charges. Unfortunetly I am experiencing the following problems:

Company 1: According to the website I have not submitted a return since 2006 and therefore need to pay almost R1750 in penalties. (2006 to 2012 years are marked in red) Although the 2013 return are due since 10/04/2013 it is not marked in green and therefore I am not able to submit. I am also unable to enter the turnover amount.

Company 2 & 3: Although the 2013 return are due since 10/04/2013 it is not marked in green and therefore I am not able to submit. I am also unable to enter the turnover amount.

I just want to confirm if other businesses are experiencing the same problems?

    Regards,
    Jenine

It's not a problem actually; you can't submit the AR's because they are not due yet. After those due dates, you will be able to submit for those years.

For now, submit what you can.

    Hi,

My problem is that the return was already due on 10/04/2013. On the website it also indicate that the returns are due on the 10th of April 2013, but it is not green yet.

With regards to the returns since 2006: All the returns were submitted on time. I have printed confirmations which have been printed (by myself) each year after the returns has been submitted.

    Regards,
    Jenine

    Hi Jenine

Sorry I did not read properly. The fact that the entities are not deregistered supports your position that you have in fact paid the older returns.

I have no advice or solution. I can only suggest you attempt the impossible and phone the call centre.

Seems CIPC was doing some scheduled maintenance between 26th & 30th April -

Might be worth trying again now to see if things have improved.

But there may be more to it.

I've have two calls from CIPC within the last 6 months confirming our company details - apparently because their database has been corrupted. And frankly, it probably is. We're marked as submitted and paid up for our last annual renewals, and I certainly didn't renew it. When I tried, it said no returns were due and last return filed and paid up was the one I wanted to submit.

So either a corrupt database, or an anonymous benefactor...

Question on annual returns: I currently have to submit the first annual return for our business registered in August 2014. For the 2015 annual return do I submit turnover to our financial year end in Feb 2015? Or turnover for the 12 months to August 2015?
