Why is it important? You should be more concerned about whether or not they have started policing the industry, because until they do there is no need to worry about updates or regulations for that matter.

Yes it is, they are policing this area very well. 6 companies was stopped by dept.of labour cause they don't have a registered person in their company and some didn't bother to renew their company registration annex 3 with dept.of labour and couldn't work until that was done. They very active here and the bush electricians are being polieced

Which area are you in because I haven't registered again with the DOL, they are so unorganised and I don't see any contractors being stopped.

I know there are some minor changes to the COC - the one change I noted is a clarification of what is wanted on 3 phase voltage readings.

No idea when the next amendment will come out though.

Ok that explains it, every time I go to RBM to do a project, there is a week wasted driving up and down doing all the induction safety courses, driver training, supervisor, course, etc, etc.

I think it is because of all the industries in the area, and lots of money.

For anyone trying to issue a COC via the ECBSA system, you might want to hold on to your horses a bit.

They've updated the form, and the result is a right royal mess right now.

I thought that was normal for the electrical industry in this country, a right royal...

I have all the documents ( I got them from another source still waiting for the DOL to send them to me) and payment to register with the DOL, but instead of sending them in I am going to wait and see how long it will take for them to catch up.
