    Screw the Consumer

    I want to cry when I hear stories like this;

    "We could not process your claim, because the date on the invoice was the wrong way round. Our system does not recognise a date reading 2013/03/11."

    To the lady at the Discovery call centre in JHB; if you are clever enough to figure out that the date is the wrong way round, you should also be clever enough to change the date to the right format!

    Order placed on 5/2/13 with Kalahari.com. After several follow up e-mails still nothing. Requested a refund but still not processed! Customer service? What customer service?

    I bought from kalahari recently and 48hours delivery is a joke, it took 5 days and only got feedback on the query after the delivery.
    This is the new norm for customer service in SA.

    I finally got the delivery from Kalahari after almost 2 months! That is not really the problem, as it could also be because of the post office strike. The problem is really their F#@k you attitude. No problem solving, no alternatives. Just take it or leave it.

    Hi Blurock,

    What would you expect Kalahari to do if the post office is on strike?

    I realise that even a Rolls Royce can get a flat tyre. How the tyre gets fixed is what determines customer service. Customer service is not what we may think it is; customer service is how it is perceived by the customer.

    If you ignore a customer's complaint, even after several follow up mails, you are definitely not delivering any service. If you first deliver the wrong product and then take almost two months to correct your mistake, I define it as s#!t service.
